A Short Update on Designing for Foldable Devices
Three years after the Google Pixel Fold, the iPhone Duo announcement brings a fresh look at designing for foldable devices. CSS media features, a Viewport Segments API, and a Device Posture API work only in Chromium browsers, with no sign yet of Safari support. Websites needn't adapt to two screens. A dual-screen design makes sense when an experience has two simultaneous contexts, such as an inbox beside an open message.
